Overdrafts happen when you don’t have enough money in your account to pay for a transaction you’ve already made. short-bank-name offers transfer service and credit line solutions to help you avoid going over your account balance or bouncing a check, either of which can result in transactions being declined and/or returned.

Be prepared with an overdraft solution:
Credit Reserve Line
- A credit reserve line is attached to your personal short-bank-name checking account. Whenever you attempt to spend more money than is in your account, this line of credit helps protect you from accidental overdrafts.

Overdraft Funds Transfer
- When you’re running low on funds, a overdraft funds transfer moves money from your other short-bank-name savings, money market, or secondary checking account to your primary checking account.

Debit Card Overdraft Service
- With Debit Card Overdraft Service for your personal account, short-bank-name covers your ATM and one-time debit card transactions at our discretion, even when your funds are unavailable. This service is separate from other short-bank-name overdraft protection options and you must opt-in. If you opt-in, these transactions may be paid at short-bank-name discretion, which means short-bank-name does not guarantee to always authorize and pay these transactions and fees will apply. This service is available to personal accounts only.

Overdraft Fees
Personal Accounts
- Insufficient Funds Fee for Returned Items: $0.00
- For any transaction the bank returns or declines that will overdraw the account.
- Overdraft Fee for Paid Items: $29.00
- Per check, ACH, or wire transaction that overdraws your account.
- Per ATM or Everyday Debit Card Transaction that overdraws your account - if you have opted-in to our Debit Card Overdraft Service.
- Per multiple-use debit card transaction that overdraws your account.
- Per non-debit card transaction that overdraws your account.
- We will charge your account no more than five per-item Overdraft fees on any business day. We will not charge any per-item Overdraft fees if your account is overdrawn $30 or less after all credit and debit transactions are posted to your account following the close of the business day.
Business Accounts
- Insufficient Funds Fee for Returned Items: $0.00
- For any transaction the bank returns or declines that will overdraw the account (not applicable for Analyzed accounts).
- Overdraft Fee for Paid Items: $29.00
- Per check, ACH, or wire transaction that overdraws your account.
- Per multiple-use debit card transaction that overdraws your account.
- Per non-debit card transaction that overdraws your account.
- We will charge your account no more than ten per-item Overdraft fees on any business day. We will not charge any per-item Overdraft fees if your account is overdrawn $30 or less after all credit and debit transactions are posted to your account following the close of the business day (not applicable for Analyzed accounts).
